      Sunday Morning Road Rides:
8:00 AM from Cape Able Bike Shop
      C) The "C" ride is intended for people new to group rides or riders that would like to start out with a slower, shorter ride and work there way up to the faster rides. The ride will be based on the needs of the riders we have for that day.
Ride Leaders: Tom Decker (967-1956). If you see me before the ride I will be glad to put together a ride that works for you.

      B) The "B" ride will be between 25 to 30 miles at an average speed of about 14 to 15 MPH. We will make 3 stops along the way to regroup. No one will get left behind. We will follow the same route each week. The ride leaves the Bike Shop and works it's way down to the Clock Farm, crosses over RT. 9 and goes around Goose Rocks Beach, back out to RT 9 . This is our 1st stop. From there we head North on RT 9 up to Fortune's Rocks Road. This will take us out around the Point at Biddeford Pool and back to the Beach at Fortune's Rocks. This is our 2nd stop (There are Port-A-Potties there). From here we head back to RT 9 and go south into Cape Porpoise, we take a left and go out to the Cape Porpoise Pier. This is our 3rd stop. Now we come back the Pier road and take a left just before RT 9. We wind our way around to go past President Bush's house into the center of Kennebunkport, up the hill and back to the Bike Shop. This is a somewhat relaxed ride where riders enjoy socializing along the way. Ride leader: Tom Decker (967-1956).

B+) The "B+" ride will follow the same basic route as the "B" ride with a couple of extra loops that will bring up the distance to about 32 miles. The speed will be about 16 to 17 mph. We will make the same stops as the "B" ride and no one will be left behind. Ride Leader: Maureen Brydon (499-7537).

A-) The A- ride will be using 4 different routes, including 2 new ones introduced last year. The rides will run between 30 and 40 miles in length. The average speed will run between 18 and 20 mph, depending on conditions. We will work to keep riders together by keeping pulls short, rotating to the back, keeping an eye for riders off the bike, and having stops for regrouping.
      1. The Coastal Route. This is the flattest ride, however the rollers on Route 9 can be challenging to ride at tempo. The Coastal Route will go through Dock Square to Ocean Avenue and Wildes District Road to Cape Porpoise. We will continue along Route 9, then loop around Goose Rocks Beach. We continue on Route 9 to Fortunes Rocks, loop around Biddeford Pool and Hills Beach. We then head back on New Road to West Street, Guinea Road, Whitten Hill Road, Stone Road, and Beachwood Ave.A quick right onto Old Cape Road and Log Cabin Road will bring us back to the shop.

Breaks: We will first break either at the end of the Goose Rocks loop, or at the porta potties at Fortunes Rocks. The second break is at UNE returning from the Hills Beach loop.

      2. The Clark Woods ride. This is the hilliest ride. Expect the ride to break up on Clark Woods road and Blueberry Hill Road. We will stop at the end of each road to allow for recovery.

We head up Sinnot Road, across Route 1, and up Old Limerick Road to Route 111. A left on Route 111 will lead to a right on Hill Road into Goodwins Mills. We will ride on South Waterboro Road until we take a right onto Clark Woods Road. We will cross South Waterboro Road and take a left onto Blueberry Hill Road. We cross Route 111 again onto Mouse Lane, to Witcher Mills Road, Old Falls Road into West Kennebunk. We cross the Tunpike, turning left onto Ross Road before the High School. Breaks: We will stop at the end of Hill Road, and again at the end of Clark Woods Road and Blueberry Hill Road.

      3. The Estes Lake/Pig Farm loop. There some rollers in this ride and one mild climb on this ride. We head out The Sinnot Road again, cross Route 1 and up the Old Limerick Road. This time we turn left at the Dutch Elm Golf Course, past the famous "Pig Farm" and take a couple of climbs to Route 35. Right onto Route 35, then left onto Walkers Lane. We take a left onto the North Berwick Road. We break at Sonys Convenience, then keep going straight on Old North Berwick/Witchers Mill Road until we take a right on New Dam Road. The ride passes Estes Lake before taking a right on Bernier road. Some rollers take us to a right on Swetts Bridge Road. A short ride takes us to Mouse Lane, where we follow the Clark Woods ride route back to the shop.

Breaks: We stop at Sonny's Convenience on the way out, and have the option of stopping there again on the way back.

      4. The Saco River ride. A little bit of urban riding (Maine version) with lots of up and downs. We head out the Arundel Road, taking a left on Goose Rocks, then bearing right onto on Guinea to Route 9. The ride follow Route 9 into Biddeford.
